Pamela I. Pimentel, APRN
Pamela Pimentel was born and raised in Atlanta, GA to her parents who had recently immigrated from Guayaquil, Ecuador. Her mother is a pediatrician and her father a nephrologist, both still practicing physicians in the area. She attended Emory University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Anthropology, during her sophomore year she studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina to complete her Minor degree in Spanish Literature.
In 2014 shortly after graduation she moved to New York City to attend Columbia University School of Nursing, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and subsequently Master of Science in Pediatric Nursing with a subspecialty in Pediatric Oncology.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at a private practice while completing her Master’s program, and upon graduation she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She worked for nearly 3 years as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at a high-volume ambulatory clinic within New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital before making the decision to move back down south.
She enjoys traveling, staying active (in the warm weather!) and spending time with her friends, family and two young nephews.
